Privacy Policy

In short

ViaVerse is a Bible-tagging app. We store the paths you create and the notes you write. We do not sell or share your data. We do not use advertising trackers. The mobile app keeps your data on your device by default; cloud sync is tied to the account you sign in with.

What we collect

• Account information. When you sign in with Google or with an email and password, we receive your email address and (with Google) your display name. This is stored in Firebase Authentication, owned and operated by Google.
• Path data. The paths, notes, color choices, and Bible-version preference you create. Stored on your device and, if you sign in, synced to Firebase Firestore under your account ID.
• Diagnostic logs. Anonymous error logs to help us fix crashes. No personal information. No IDFA. No cross-app tracking.

What we do not collect

• Location, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, health, or financial information. The app never requests these permissions.
• Advertising identifiers (IDFA / GAID). Our iOS privacy manifest declares NSPrivacyTracking = false.
• Third-party analytics events (Mixpanel, Amplitude, Adjust, AppsFlyer, etc.). None of those SDKs are in the app.

Third-party services

ViaVerse depends on a small number of services to function. Your data flows through them as described:

• Firebase (Google) — Authentication and Firestore database. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• YouVersion Platform API — Provides scripture text. We send the verse reference (e.g. JHN.3.16) and the chosen translation ID; YouVersion does not receive any account-identifying information from us. Subject to the YouVersion terms.

Your rights

• Delete your account and data. Email support@viaverse.app from the address tied to your account. We remove your data from Firestore and Firebase Authentication within 30 days.
• Export your data. Same contact — we'll send you a JSON archive of your paths and notes.
• Correct inaccuracies. Same contact, or edit them directly in the app.

Children

ViaVerse is intended for ages 13 and up. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with information, please contact support and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we materially change what we collect or how we use it, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page and notify users in the app's About screen on the next release.
